This week’s task was to all about space and time and its expression within Art History. Other than the week before, we were asked to not do one piece of work but three:
- create a joiner image in the style of David Hockney
- produce creative photo-images which exploit long exposure (eg light painting, motion-blur, slit-scan etc)
- produce creative photo images or sequences which exploit short exposure (eg, sports, frozen motion etc)
I started with the first one. The complete the task, the first thing I had to do was looking into David Hockney and his work to find out what exactly I would end up doing. Also, I thought some inspiration might be a really good idea.
You can find his work following that link: http://www.hockneypictures.com/works_photos.php
I used that link, to look up some of his things. For example:
The the photographic collage shows the Pearblossom Highway and was taken from 11th to 18th April in 1986. To understand the picture being a collage and not just a single photograph, I had to look twiche due to how acurate the single takes were put together.
